Playing "First Dance" Within Ukulele: A Lesson In Movable Chord Shapes
This series of articles will give you a few chords that you can use on a huge number of songs to get your playing off the ground so you can start playing with confidence. In this first part we'll be tackling the C chord.

The names of the chords we will play are dependent upon the tuning of the uke. In this Ukulele lesson we will use the common tuning in C. This means that the first Ukulele string of the ukukule is tuned to A. The first string of your uke is the bottom string when you play.

Once you are comfortable with holding the instrument, high in your arms, and plucking the strings with your thumb or felt pick, you are able to take lessons and learn how to really play the instrument and make some good music.
